01 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website, placing an order, or using any UZAVIK VAULT product, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website or purchase our products. These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and users of UZAVIK VAULT products and services.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our website or products following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

02 Product Use

UZAVIK VAULT is a personal hardware security device intended for lawful storage and management of credentials, cryptographic keys, and authentication tokens. By using the product you agree to:

• Use the device only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
• Take full responsibility for any credentials or data stored on the device.
• Keep the device physically secure — Uzavik Technologies is not liable for data accessed by a person who gains physical possession of your device.
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or tamper with the hardware or firmware.
• Register only fingerprints belonging to yourself or to persons you are legally authorised to enroll (such as minor dependants in your care).

03 Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software — is the property of Uzavik Technologies and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

• The UZAVIK VAULT name, wordmark, and logo are trademarks of Uzavik Technologies. You may not use them without our prior written consent.
• The firmware embedded in UZAVIK VAULT devices is licensed to you solely for use on the device. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the firmware.
• You may share links to this website and reproduce short excerpts for non-commercial commentary or review purposes, provided you credit Uzavik Technologies and do not imply endorsement.

04 Warranty

UZAVIK VAULT products come with a limited hardware warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions.

• Duration: 12 months from the date of original purchase by the end customer.
• Coverage: Manufacturing defects, component failure under normal operating conditions, and faulty USB-C connector performance.
• Exclusions: Physical damage, water damage beyond rated specifications, unauthorized modification, use contrary to the product manual, or normal wear and tear.
• Remedy: At our discretion, we will repair or replace a defective unit. Replacement units may be refurbished. Warranty is non-transferable.

To make a warranty claim, contact support@uzavik.com with your order number and a description of the defect.

05 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Uzavik Technologies and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

• Loss of data, credentials, or digital assets stored on or accessed through the device.
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the product.
• Unauthorised access to the device by a third party who obtains physical possession of it.
• Any loss or damage resulting from your failure to maintain the device in a secure location.
• Compatibility issues with third-party software, operating systems, or services.

In any event, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the product shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific unit giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.

06 Privacy

Your use of this website and our products is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms and Conditions by reference. By agreeing to these terms, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

In summary: we do not collect, store, or transmit any biometric data or credentials from your UZAVIK VAULT device. All such data remains entirely on your device.

07 Prohibited Use

You may not use UZAVIK VAULT or this website to:

• Store credentials for accounts you do not own or are not authorised to access.
• Circumvent or bypass security systems, access controls, or authentication mechanisms without authorisation.
• Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws, including but not limited to hacking, fraud, or identity theft.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the device firmware or any software provided with the product.
• Attempt to extract, clone, or duplicate the cryptographic keys or biometric data stored on the secure element.
• Use the device in any manner that could expose Uzavik Technologies to legal liability or reputational harm.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in termination of your warranty and support, and may be reported to relevant authorities where legally required.

08 Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Uzavik Technologies is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms or the use of UZAVIK VAULT products shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of the applicable jurisdiction, as determined by applicable law.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence.

09 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

For significant changes that affect your rights or obligations, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email if you are on our mailing list. However, it is your responsibility to review these terms periodically.

Your continued use of the website or the product after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to the revised terms, please discontinue use and contact us regarding any outstanding product matters.
