01Acceptance of terms

By accessing this website, placing an order, or using any Uzavik Vault product, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website or purchase our products. These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and users of Uzavik Vault products and services.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our website or products following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

02Product use

Uzavik Vault is a hardware-held password manager intended for lawful storage and management of login credentials. By using the product you agree to:

• Use the device and software only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
• Take full responsibility for any credentials or data stored on the device.
• Keep the device physically secure. Jivatu Technologies is not liable for data accessed by a person who gains physical possession of your device.
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or tamper with the device or the software.

03Intellectual property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, is the property of Jivatu Technologies and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

• The Uzavik Vault name, wordmark, and logo are trademarks of Jivatu Technologies. You may not use them without our prior written consent.
• The Uzavik Vault software, including the desktop application, the Windows service and the browser extensions, is licensed to you solely for use with the product. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the software.
• You may share links to this website and reproduce short excerpts for non-commercial commentary or review purposes, provided you credit Jivatu Technologies and do not imply endorsement.

04Warranty

Uzavik Vault devices come with a limited hardware warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions.

• Duration: 12 months from the date of original purchase by the end customer.
• Coverage: Manufacturing defects, component failure under normal operating conditions, and faulty USB connector performance.
• Exclusions: Physical damage, liquid damage, unauthorized modification, use contrary to the product manual, or normal wear and tear.
• Remedy: At our discretion, we will repair or replace a defective unit. Replacement units may be refurbished. Warranty is non-transferable.

To make a warranty claim, contact support@jivatu.tech with your order number and a description of the defect.

05Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jivatu Technologies and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

• Loss of data, credentials, or digital assets stored on or accessed through the device.
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the product.
• Unauthorised access to the device by a third party who obtains physical possession of it.
• Any loss or damage resulting from your failure to maintain the device in a secure location.
• Compatibility issues with third-party software, operating systems, or services.

In any event, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the product shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific unit giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.

06Privacy

Your use of this website and our products is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference. By agreeing to these terms, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

In summary: we do not collect, store, or transmit the credentials in your Uzavik Vault. They remain on your device and, where you have chosen to trust a computer, in an encrypted backup on that computer.

07Prohibited use

You may not use Uzavik Vault or this website to:

• Store credentials for accounts you do not own or are not authorised to access.
• Circumvent or bypass security systems, access controls, or authentication mechanisms without authorisation.
• Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws, including but not limited to hacking, fraud, or identity theft.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the software provided with the product.
• Attempt to clone or duplicate the device, its signature, or the vault's binding to the device.
• Use the device in any manner that could expose Jivatu Technologies to legal liability or reputational harm.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in termination of your warranty and support, and may be reported to relevant authorities where legally required.

08Governing law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Jivatu Technologies is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms or the use of Uzavik Vault products shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of the applicable jurisdiction, as determined by applicable law.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence.

09Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

For significant changes that affect your rights or obligations, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email if you are on our mailing list. However, it is your responsibility to review these terms periodically.

Your continued use of the website or the product after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to the revised terms, please discontinue use and contact us regarding any outstanding product matters.
